There is currently an issue within the OWL web browser cacheing that sometimes causes buttons within the OWL to go 'missing‘missing' or not display correctly. This is due to the browser ‘forgetting’ part of the software and having to be reminded of what is and isn’t there.

The We are working on a fix for this has been prioritised in our Production Release Schedule and that will be completed in due course.

In the Interim, if this occurs to you, please use the instructions below to fix this issuethere are two ways to fix this depending on the extend of the issue.

Fix 1: Clear Cache

This set of instructions resets the cache of data on your browser for Wise Owl. After resetting the cache (remembered data), lists may load slower for a short time while your browser relearns them.

  1. From the Navigation bar, click on the settings cog

  2. From the options, select Technical Diagnostics

  3. Under the first heading, choose the white ‘Clear Cache’ box

  4. You will get a success image. Please ensure you refresh any Wise Owl tabs to have this take affect.

Fix 2: Reset Licence

This should only be used if the first option of clearing your cache does not work or if your entire firm is affected.

  1. From the Navigation bar, click on the settings cog

  2. From the bottom Settings options, select Appliance Settings

  3. Scroll down to the License tab

  4. Select 'Check for New License'

  5. Select Save Changes from the bottom of the page

  6. Check the missing buttons and see if they have come back.
