Wise Owl Legal allows it's users to access the 'back end' of the documents through a Windows Explorer (File Explorer) page.

1. To open this, on your Windows machine, go to the start menu and search for 'Windows Explorer'. You can also press the Windows Key + E on your keyboard to open it.

2. Once you have opened the Windows Explorer, in the address bar, type in the Documents path.
   
   It will be in one of the following formats:
   Win 10      \\<your firm URL\docs
   Win 7        \\<your firm URL>@SSL\docs
   
   or
   
   https://<yourfirmurl>/docs

3. A pop up will appear asking you to log in. Use the same credentials that you would log in to your Wise Owl database with.

4. You will then be redirected to the folder with your documents sorted into Archived, Closed and Open matters.

5. At this point, copy the relevant folders into a backup directory or onto a backup drive and you are done.
   You can also drill down and only backup specific matters if required.
