Whenever you use a web browser whether it be Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or any others, your web browser will be remembering and storing data about the web pages you visit.

This is called 'cacheingcaching'. By remembering data about the web pages you are visiting, it means that your load times for web pages are shorter and your computer does not have to use up as much memory and processing to get to each page.

This is great for an efficiency stand point but if the cache does not get cleared, it can sometimes remember web pages that you would prefer not or remember them incorrectly.

In Wise Owl, this can sometimes happen when you create a new contact and then immediately try to create a new matter with that contact.
Your browser goes into the New Matter screen and because that location is 'cached' (remembered) on your browser, it doesn't look for new data (aka your new contact).
One option (if you have the time) is to allow the browser time to catch up or re-look for a new version of the page. This will take time and that will vary per computer and it's specifications and per browser.

ALTERNATIVELY

You can use Google's instructions to clear your cache by following the directions at

...

You may find that this makes your Wise Owl pages load slower for a short amount of time (e.g. until you load each page) but once you have started using them consistently again, this will load quicker.
