Wise Owl Legal is passionate about ensuring that each law firm has access to back up their own documents at any point.

This is done through the Documents Back End.

This should only be accessed by high level users to back up their Documents. While you can save documents into this backend and have them appear in the OWL, Wse Owl Legal recommends that you use the front facing Uploading screen.

Details about this screen can be found on the Document Upload page.

Important: If you have logged out and try to access your Document back end, you will need to login again to be able to access them.
Wise Owl Legal is passionate about your security and wants to ensure that your documents are secure at all times behind your individual login.

Never give out your login or password!

What is my Documents path?

Within a Windows Explorer browser, you will need to enter your Documents path to access the back end.

Your documents path is different based on the version of Windows you are running. Please enter the relevant path into your Windows Explorer address bar.

Win 10

\\<your firm URL\docs\

e.g. \\demo.wiseowllegal.com.au\docs\

Win 7

\\<your firm URL>@SSL\docs

e.g. \\demo.wiseowllegal.com.au@SSL\docs\

For those experiencing difficulty, please try the following path:

https://<your firm URL>/docs/

e.g. https://demo.wiseowllegal.com.au/docs/

Why doesn't my login to the Documents in Windows Explorer work?

Windows controls logins to files on Windows Explorer and stores the cookies, history and cache in Internet Explorer. You may need to clear the recent history in Internet Explorer.
View the video on the QuickVid page on how to clear the Internet Explorer history, cookies, cache and passwords.

To clear the recent history, Open Internet Explorer.

Go to Tools > Internet Options

Select the 'Delete' option

Confirm the items to be deleted and then select 'Delete'

Close Internet Explorer and access the Windows Explorer to see the back end documents.
