Whenever you use a web browser whether it be Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or any others, your web browser will be remembering and storing data about the web pages you visit.

This is called 'cacheing'. By remembering data about the web pages you are visiting, it means that your load times for web pages are shorter and your computer does not have to use up as much memory and processing to get to each page.

 

This is great for an efficiency stand point but if the cache does not get cleared, it can sometimes remember web pages that you would prefer not or remember them incorrectly.

If you find that your web browser is not displaying things as you think it should for the OWL, we recommend that you go to Technical Diagnostics and then under the 'Your browser' section choose the button to 'clear cache'.

 

You may find that this makes your Wise Owl pages load slower for a short amount of time (e.g. until you load each page) but once you have started using them consistently again, this will load quicker.
