Wise Owl Password Policy

Only applies if using internal password storage. External directory systems such as Windows Active Directory will have their own password requirements which may be different to this.

• 8 characters minimum (configurable)
• One upper, lower and number (configurable)
• Any character is allowed. Including spaces, punctuation, HTML, non-English letters / numbers, characters not on standard keyboards, and any Unicode character point.
• Maximum length is 256 characters.
• Leading and trailing spaces are removed as some external programs may strip them.
• No expiry dates are enforced.
