Data imports are used to load data into your Wise Owl Legal Appliance. They can come from a variety of sources and formats.
When you initially receive your Appliance, either you or a Wise Owl Consultant will import data from your previous record keeping systems as a one-off import.
You can also configure your Appliance to automatically import data on a schedule. For example, you could import phone records from a phone system every night.
Data can be loaded in various formats:
xlsx files (Office 2007+) - Supports almost all database fields. Supports multiple types of data in a single xlsx file. .rptpack or .zip files) - Special import for bulk loading reports into an Appliance..zip file) - Imports current matters and clients from a PC Law export.The following formats are not yet supported, but are planned for a future release of Wise Owl Legal:
Data can be loaded from several sources. Usually there is a close correspondence between formats and sources, but some formats can load data from various sources (in particular, the file based imports like CSV or Excel).
