User - Login Two Factor
The Wise Owl takes the security of your information and data as a top priority, and as such has implemented a two factor authentication.
Essentially, what this means is the first time you log onto an unprotected IP address it will ask for a special code generated by an App on your smart phone or an SMS.
The steps for using the two factor login are as below:
Create a new user Â
When creating the user select whether or not the user requires two-factor authentication.
This allows Wise Owl Legal to be accessed outside of the office and on multiple devices and as such is usually enabled for the company’s principles and any solicitors.Â
Contrastingly, you would not want admin staff accessing Wise Owl Legal outside of the office and as such would select ‘never'Save and print this file. Make sure both hard and soft copies are saved in a secure location, somewhere an employee may not accidentally stumble upon.Â
Download Authenticator on your smart phone. Wise Owl Legal fully supports the following Authenticator apps:
Google Authenticator on iOS, Android and Blackburry
Authenticator on Windows PhonesÂ
You may be prompted to download the ZXing Scanner as well.
Scan the QR code (example below) using the Authenticator app downloaded in step 3. A unique code will then be generated for that particular login. This code changes every few minutes.
ÂWhen you log onto a new IP address or long on after a manual password reset and the user has 'forced change password', Wise Owl Legal will prompt you to enter this unique code,as well as your usual password
