- Select show advanced settings from the bottom of the page
- Select languages and input settings from the language section
- In the languages column identify what language is currently used for spell checking, If the language you require is not available to select, click add and find your preferred language
Note that some users prefer to user English (UK) rather than English (Australia). After testing of the Google Chrome English (Australia) spell checking function it has been discovered that the browser does not differentiate between s and z in certain words. This emphasises the importance of proofreading all invoices before they are sent to the client. - Once the requested language is chosen, select display in this language and spell checking for this language as shown below:
- Select Finished
- Close all Chrome browsers and relaunch to ensure the language change takes effect.

Internet Explorer
To select your spell checker on Internet Explorer:
- Select tools from the top menu bar
- Select 'Manage add-ons'
- Select 'Spelling Correction' from the left hand menu bar
- Select English (Australia) from the available list
- Ensure Enable spelling correction is ticked
- Close
Karen, here are several 3rd party dictionary plugins for Web Browsers. You need to evaluate them to determine if they meet your requirements. If they don't we'll need to spend more time editing them or making a custom dictionary. Or you may want to talk to the publishers of the Macquarie Dictionary and see if they have a web browser plugin.
