What is the difference between lawyers on a matter?
There are several different types of lawyers pre-set on a matter in Wise Owl.
By default, these are
Introducing Lawyer
Responsible Lawyer
Supervising Lawyer
Assigned Lawyer
There are more available on the drop down lists of the Assigned Users however these four will automatically be on a matter created with the default Wise Owl settings.
The difference between each of these is:
Introducing Lawyer brings the business to the firm
Responsible Lawyer has the final say on the matter
AssignedLawyer is the person doing the basic / day to day work - This person normally has a lot of experience in the matter type
Supervising Lawyer is in the middle of all of these people and this role often assists with knowing who to report to
Â
Assigning these roles assists the Receptionist to know who to put calls to and can help with other business functions such as reporting, productivity and more.
