User - Change Password

To change your password on Wise Owl Legal select the tools and setting icon (grey cog) from the top menu bar.

Select My Settings.

Select Security and Permissions.

Select 'Change'

Follow the password policy to ensure an acceptable password. 

To assist in creating a secure password Wise Owl Legal provides a password generator, which can be used to generate both passwords and pass phrases for your use. The Wise Owl strongly recommends that you use the generate password feature to ensure your password meets the requirements, protecting your confidential information. 

NOTE: Not every Wise Owl Legal user will be able to change their own password. It depends on the user's rights. 

If the password change option is unavailable contact your power user (the person in charge of Wise Owl Legal within the firm) and have them change your rights to allow 'Change My Password' or have them reset your password from their login. 

Resetting Another User's Password

If resetting a password for another user, select:

  • Settings Icon

  • Appliance Settings

  • Users And Access Rights 

  • the Actions button adjacent to the user whose password you wish to change

  • Reset Password

  • Select the reset method

 

Please note that for users who are sharing an email address, the email reset option will not be available.
