Sensitive Matters

How do I make a Matter sensitive?

Please Note:

  • If a user is listed as a Fee Earner on a sensitive matter but they don't have the sensitive matter right, they will still be able to see that matter as if they did have the right.

  • Sensitive matters will be show details saying they are unable to be viewed on the Matter Page or the Documents page for anyone that does not have the right to see sensitive matters.

  • Marking a matter as sensitive does not remove the matter from any of the data entry screens (Trust entries, Billing etc) but the matter will only be available if the user knows the matter number on those pages.

This will not affect the Sensitive reports right.

Reports

For reports that could show sensitive matters or are sensitive in themselves, the user will need to have the Sensitive Reports right.

This right allows the user to run reports that have been marked as sensitive regardless of what matter they are for.

We recommend that if someone does not have the right to view sensitive matters then they should also not have the right to view sensitive reports.
