Recoveries - Register

A recovery, unlike an outlay, is a service that the firm does mark up - for example, a charge for photocopying performed for work involved on a matter.

To access recoveries select the Accounting & Finance tab, orange notes, from the top menu bar.

Select Enter Recoveries from the Recoveries subsection in the top right-hand corner.

Press the down arrow in the item field to bring up a pick list. Alternatively start typing the necessary item and a list will appear of all the items that contain those letters.

Please note that the item field is not a free text box. Therefore if an item you wish is not appearing in the pick list it will need to be added first before any recoveries can be entered. To do so select the accounting and Finance icon > Lists > Items > Disbursement / Recovery items.

Similarly, pressing the down arrow on the tax column will also bring up a pick list.
