Setting Up Documents for a New User / Computer

When you are first using the Documents Module of Wise Owl, there are a couple of initial setup requirements to allow for smooth use of the documents module.

This page collates the information that you may need to set up a new user or to set up a new computer to work smoothly with the documents module. Checkout the subpages for more information.

When you first use the Documents Module to open a word document, it will ask for your login to Wise Owl Legal. This is to ensure that your documents are secure and can only be accessed by your firm.

You can access your documents from

  • a matter (under the documents tab)

  • the documents register
    or

  • the back end of your Wise Owl application

The back end access should primarily used for backing up the documents if that is something you want to do yourself.
