Improvements to Matter Documents tab.

New Features

  • Create Document for multiple contacts from Matter page.

  • Improve performance of key register, edit and view pages when first loading them in the morning.

  • Add support for drag-and-drop to Outlook emails from an explorer window of all matter documents.

  • Add Advanced Search button to Matter Documents tab, with improved filtering and sorting.

Bugs Fixed

  • Fix error message on New Document From Template page when creating a document with duplicate name.

  • Fix Resource Pack re-install to only happen after a code update and if the resource pack had errors.

  • Fix Search buttons can be disabled on Document Register after opening a document for editing. Non-Save buttons are no longer disabled.

  • Fix Trust Bank Rec does not allow stale reversed transactions.

  • Fix error page when an invalid mail merge field is present in a document template.

  • Fix Save button can be disabled if you answer No when confirming navigating away from a page with changes.

  • Fix Create Document and Edit button does not always work on Create Document From Template page.

  • Fix mail merge fields which differ only by capitals can cause an error when loading the template (eg: MatterNumber and matternumber).

  • Fix error when loading Document Template when an invalid number is used (eg: Contact_Addresses_z_Suburb instead of Contact_Addresses_1_Suburb).

  • Fix error when Creating a Document from Template if a mail merge field could not be found.

  • Fix Document Keywords are not saved if they only differ by capitals (eg: KeyWord and keyword).

  • Fix Create Document and Edit does not redirect back to Matter page if document was created from Matter page.

  • Fix workaround required when accessing documents via Windows Explorer - should no longer need to login via Office first, explorer will ask for your username & password.

  • Fix Save Button appears on a view-only Disbursement page.

  • Fix spelling mistakes.

  • Fix required asterisk not shown on Contact Last Name field.

  • Fix typing shortcuts not working on Cost Recoveries page.

Other Changes

  • Change Contact Register filter to only show active contacts by default.

  • Documents must no longer be in a read-only status before a Matter can be archived. There is no restriction from the documents module when archiving a matter.

  • Initial support and testing for SQL 2016.

  • Improvements for handling invalid xlsx files in doc packs, and doc packs created on a Mac.

  • Help system now uses secure SSL connections, links to help pages updated to use https.

  • Add firm level external ID settings, to support US billing report.

  • Added employment category field against Users, to support US billing report. Now listed on List page to enter categories (eg: full time, part time, etc).

  • Changed server view of documents to have matters in folders by status (eg: /Open/14-1000/document.docx). So accessing document via Windows Explorer is more managable when many matters are archived or closed.

  • Renamed Trust Refund button on Edit Matter page.

Reports

  • Add additional fields and filters to Document Template List report (user details, doc group name, etc).

  • Add additional fields and filters to Document List report (matter details, doc group name, category list, user details).

  • Remove the ClientList stored proc, report now uses ClientListAndMatters.

  • Add InvoiceDetailsByDate stored procedure to support US billing report.
